MiraLife provides licensed mental health therapy through secure video, phone, and messaging. Our clinicians are licensed mental health professionals (therapists, counselors, psychiatrists) regulated in their respective states.

2.2 Not Emergency Care
Our services are NOT for emergencies. If you are in crisis, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or need immediate help, contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or emergency services (911).
2.3 Clinical Limitations
Telehealth cannot address all mental health conditions. Your clinician will assess suitability and may refer you to in-person or specialized care if needed.
3. Patient Responsibilities
As a patient, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and insurance information
- Attend scheduled sessions on time and in a private, secure location
- Follow your clinician's treatment recommendations
- Immediately disclose emergency situations or crisis symptoms
- Maintain confidentiality regarding session content
- Use the platform only for licensed therapy (not sales, marketing, or illicit purposes)
- Not record sessions without written consent
- Notify us of technical issues that affect care quality
4. Clinician Conduct & Confidentiality
4.1 Professional Standards
All MiraLife clinicians adhere to clinical ethics codes, APA/NASW standards, and state licensure requirements.
4.2 Confidentiality:
All session information is confidential under HIPAA and applicable state laws. Exceptions include:
- Imminent danger to self or others
- Child or elder abuse disclosure
- Court-ordered disclosure
- Mandatory reporting requirements
5. Technology & Security
5.1 System Requirements
You are responsible for testing your internet connection, camera, and microphone before sessions.
5.2 Security Measures
All communications use end-to-end encryption. You agree not to disclose login credentials or allow others to access your account.
5.3 Session Recording
Sessions may be recorded by MiraLife only when you provide explicit written consent. Unauthorized recording is prohibited.
5.4 Platform Downtime
MiraLife is not liable for service interruptions due to technical failures, internet outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
6. Fees & Payment
6.1 Pricing
Fees are clearly displayed before booking. Rates may vary by clinician and service type.
6.2 Payment Methods
We accept credit/debit cards, processed securely by PCI-compliant third parties.
6.3 Insurance
If your plan covers telehealth, we will bill your insurance. You remain responsible for copays, deductibles, and non-covered services.
6.4 Refunds
Cancellations are refunded if made 24 hours before scheduled appointments. Late cancellations forfeit payment.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, including therapy materials, worksheets, exercises, and platform software, is MiraLife's intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
MiraLife provides services "as-is." We are not liable for:
- Treatment outcomes or lack thereof
- Clinical decisions made by independent licensed providers
- Interruptions in service or loss of confidentiality due to technical failure
- Damages from unauthorized access despite our security measures
Your exclusive remedy is cancellation and refund of prepaid services.

You agree NOT to:
- Use threatening, abusive, or harassing language toward clinicians
- Engage in substance abuse or appear intoxicated during sessions
- Attempt unauthorized access to clinical records
- Share login credentials with others
- Use the platform for illegal purposes
- Disrupt or interfere with the platform's operation
Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
10. Termination of Services
MiraLife may terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- Payment fails after multiple attempts
- Your clinician determines telehealth is no longer appropriate
- We cease operations in your state
We will provide 30 days' notice when possible and will transfer your records per your authorization.
11. Changes to These Terms
MiraLife reserves the right to update these Terms of Service. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by applicable state and federal laws, including HIPAA. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the state laws where services are provided.
